PRIMA Industries Srl, as part of the HORIZON 2020 program that finances European SME companies that make technological innovation, has obtained the funding foreseen in phase 1 of the program.

The company, after presenting the feasibility study, is drawing up the indispensable business plan to be able to access phase 2 of the program which provides for the granting of a grant with a maximum amount of € 2,500,000

The project concerns an innovative line, called PPB1500, for the cleaning and polishing of bottles with calcareous deposits, iridescences and other impurities that accumulate over the same years during the maturation of the wines in the cave according to the “Champenoise disciplinary”.

This patented line is therefore particularly suitable for solving the problems of discarded champagne bottles, but in general of sparkling wine bottles, for which the esthetical aspect has a strategic role in sales.

This project has been particularly appreciated by an important French Champagne producer that has made itself available to collaborate in this project providing a logistic support for the product development and being available to perform the necessary tests at their productive locations for to validate the product.
